    - Nurul Hidayah binti ibrahimHolding a bachelor of syariah and law (hons) and an advanced diploma
in Islamic judicial and advocacy practice from the Islamic Science
University Malaysia (USIM), Nurul Hidayah was set to carry out her duties as a Syariah practitioner. Never one to rest on her laurels, she had
actively pursued industrial training during her undergraduate studies
which included attachments in a few of the country’s leading Syariah
    law firms and institutions.

She later undertook Syariah chambering in Messrs. Muiz Samsuri &
Co. where she was exposed to a myriad of court applications as well as
advisory related briefs. She was entrusted by the firm to assist and
partake in a number of firm’s cases.

Always having a soft spot for academia and a deep rooted belief that
the industry should work hand-in-hand with the former, she could not
resist the opportunity to serve as a research assistant in the faculty
of shariah and law of her alma mater, USIM, in a research involving the
development of customary land. This opportunity did not only further
sharpen her research talent but also gave her a greater insight of
land law and its administration as well as the challenges involved in
dealing with customary and inherited estate.

Now, as a syarie partner in The Chambers of Arik & Kamal, Nurul
Hidayah is a key member of the firm’s syariah practice who further
compliments A&K’s current suite of services. Her practice focus
includes syariah court applications – dissolution of marriage,
custody, jointly acquired property, etc; muslim family guidance and
counselling; and muslim estate counselling – wasiyyah, hibah, faraid, etc.

Whenever she is free she takes the time to take long strolls and
short runs because she believes “al akli salim wal jismi salim”.
